The laser heats the pigment inside the hair and, through it, the follicle. The treated hair falls out over the next two to four weeks — you do not need to pull it out.
It only affects hair in the active growth phase, and not all of your hair is in that phase at the same time. That is why it takes a course of several sessions with three to six weeks between them. The plan is agreed at your first visit.
The laser works on dark, brown, light and red hair. It does not remove grey hair and barely affects fine vellus hair — that is a limit of the technology, not of this particular machine.
You will feel warmth and a light tingling. The handpiece is cooled, so there is no sharp pain and we do not use anaesthetic cream.
